Implementation Awards


Wireless Implementation of the Year

Awarded to the best wireless (Wi-Fi or otherwise) network implementation in the region.

Nominations should include:

  • Details of what particular needs the project addressed
  • How the project team worked to minimise security risks
  • How it overcame physical challenges
  • How ongoing support is provided, especially across remote locations
  • How the organisation worked with vendor and SI for eventual success


Fixed Networking Implementation Project of the Year
This award honours the best fixed wired network project in the region.

Nominations should include:

  • The particular challenges faced in the implementation, such as fulfilling a particular business need, or overcoming a logistical hurdle
  • Illustrations of how the project utilised available technologies effectively to produce a result
  • Examples of intelligent and forward-looking designs
  • How ongoing support and maintenance conducted


Storage Implementation of the Year

This award will be presented to the best example of a deployment of storage technology that has helped the business better manage and access its corporate data. Implementations may be on-site, in remote offices, or in the data centre.

Nominations should include:

  • Where and when the storage solutions were deployed
  • Details on how the technology was implemented
  • Any challenges faced and overcome, and what benefits it now brings


Security Implementation Project of the Year 

Honouring the best example of a successful security project in the Middle East

Nominations should include:

  • How the implementation addressed the dynamic needs of an organisation in securing its network
  • Detail the technologies used in the project
  • Provide reasons for the choice of technology and implementation challenges faced
  • Eventual payback from the system


Data Centre Project of the Year

This award seeks to honour the year’s best data centre project. This can range from a Greenfield data centre implementation or upgrade to an existing facility, to successful application delivery or hardware consolidation projects.

Nominations should include:

  • What solutions were deployed
  • Details on the process of implementation
  • What challenges were overcome
  • What benefits and successes the project achieved


Unified Communications Implementation of the Year
This award honours the best unified communications implementation in the region.

Nominations should include:

  • How the implementation addressed the needs of the company
  • Any difficulties or challenges faced during the implementation (legacy equipment for example) and how those challenges were overcome
  • Reasons for the choice of equipment utilised in the implementation
  • The business benefits of the implementation for the company


Cloud Implementation of the Year
Awarded to the best cloud (public, private or hybrid) deployment in the region.

Nominations should include:

  • The challenges faced before the implementation
  • How the implementation solved those challenges
  • How the team managed to avoid the security risks associated with cloud deployments
  • How the deployment has helped to streamline network operations
  • How the end user worked with a vendor or systems integrator to achieve stellar results


Solution/Company Awards

Storage Vendor of the Year
This award will be presented to the most comprehensive set of storage solution or range from a vendor in the Middle East.

Nominations should include:

  • Details on the solution range and its capabilities
  • Details on new additions to the range over the last year
  • How these products are better than competitor solutions (expressed in a clear, comprehensive manner)
  • Endorsements from customers in the region, who have used the solution


Cabling Vendor of the Year

Awarded to the best cabling product or product range available in the region. This can include both copper and fibre-optic systems.

Nominations should include:

  • Details on the solution range and its capabilities
  • Details on new additions to the range over the last year
  • How these products are better than competitor solutions (expressed in a clear, comprehensive manner)
  • Endorsements from customers in the region, who have used the solution


Security Vendor of the Year
This award will be presented to vendor with the best range of on-premise and managed security solutions.

Nominations should include:

  • Details on the solution range and its capabilities
  • Details on new additions to the range over the last year
  • How these products are better than competitor solutions (expressed in a clear, comprehensive manner)
  • Successes of the solution(s) over the past 12 months in the region
  • Endorsements from customers in the region
Network Management Vendor of the Year

This award will be presented to the most comprehensive network/data management solution in the region.

Nominations should include:

  • Details on the solution range and its capabilities
  • Details on new additions to the range over the last year
  • How these products are better than competitor solutions (expressed in a clear, comprehensive manner)
  • Successes of the solution(s) over the past 12 months in the region
  • Endorsements from customers in the region, who have used the solution


Systems Integrator of the Year
This award honours the best overall systems integrator in the regional networking community. Nominations should ideally be endorsed by an end-user from the region.

Nominations should include:

  • How the integrator adds/added value to projects
  • How it deals with ongoing issues or servicing and supporting a project/end-user


Networking Vendor of the Year
This is awarded to the vendor with the best overall offering for regional organisations, including technology, products, services and support.

Nominations should include:

  • Overview of the solution range
  • Details on new additions to the range over the last year
  • Competitive advantages
  • Endorsements from customers in the region, who have used the solution
  • Specific initiatives the vendor has introduced to improve its offering in the Middle East, such as training, support, localisation etc.


Unified Communications Vendor of the Year
This award will be presented to the best range of Unified Communication, including telephony and other solutions, in the region.

Nominations should include:

  • Details on the solution range and its capabilities
  • Details on new additions to the range over the last year
  • How these products are better than competitor solutions (expressed in a clear, comprehensive manner)
  • Successes of the solution(s) over the past 12 months in the region
  • Endorsements from customers in the region, who have used the solution


Individual Awards

Networking Professional of the Year (End user)
Awarded to the single end user networking professional who has made the greatest positive impact on the Middle East networking community.

Nominations should include:

  • How the individual has contributed to the community
  • What he or she has delivered to the specific organisation
  • Person has to be employed in an organisation that is not a vendor, distributor, integrator or consultant

 

Networking Professional of the Year (Vendor)
Awarded to the single, vendor-side person who has made the greatest positive impact on the Middle East networking community.

Nominations should include:

  • How the individual has contributed to the community
  • What he or she has delivered to the specific organisation
  • Person can be employed by a vendor, distributor, integrator or consultant
