Entry Guidelines

The ACN Arab Technology Awards are open to individuals, companies and organisations working in the Middle East. Nominations can be made via the Awards website up until the closing date of 23.00 UAE time on Thursday 31st August 2017.

How to Enter:

  • read and understand the award categories
  • click on “Submit Nominations”
  • follow the on-screen instructions and register for a user name and password
  • click on ‘Select Categories’ and pick your chosen category
  • enter nomination details, such as name of company or person you are nominating
  • in your submission be sure to include details, in 500 words or less, showing why your entry deserves to win over others
  • Collate all your supporting documents to a single pdf file no larger than 10MB and upload with the nomination
  • Click on ‘Submit’ button to complete the process
  • An automatic message will confirm that your nomination has been sent and a confirmation email sent to you

Integrator Awards

Any enterprise focused systems integrator or service provider, based in the Middle East, can nominate themselves for these awards.

Nominations should include a 500 word synopsis of the company’s achievements. Submissions should ideally include the following information:

  • Company’s fields of expertise in enterprise computing
  • Details of investments made in the company’s capabilities
  • Highlight major customers and overview of recently completed (no more than 24 months old) projects/agreements in the Middle East
  • Supporting testimonials from clients (including contact details for verification)
  • Future plans for development and investment in services and expertise
  • Contact details for the nominee, in order to check facts, positions, details etc if necessary

Judges will be looking for range and depth of technical expertise and customer satisfaction most of all.

Project Awards

Anyone involved in a project – end user, integrator,, consultant, vendor, etc. – can send in a nomination. However, details and contacts for the user must be included in the nomination. please note, the award is always presented to the end user, not the vendor or systems integrator.

Nominations should include a 500 word synopsis of the project. Submissions should include the following information:

  • Product, system or solution implemented
  • Business requirements behind the project selection criteria and decision process for choosing system
  • Specific reasons behind choice of final system
  • Start date and length of implementation
  • Details of the implementation, including planning and delivery
  • Details of any problems or challenges, and how they were overcome or avoided
  • Details of how final result compared to original project scope
  • Details of how new system fits into existing IT infrastructure
  • Return on investment of final project
  • Future plans involving new system
  • Size of company/organisation (personnel, sites, customers/users, etc)
  • Size of IT department, including contractors
  • Outline of existing IT infrastructure
  • Brief outline of any other recent IT projects

Judges will be looking for clear and concise solutions that show how innovative use of technology has delivered quantifiable business benefits.

Individual Awards

  • Nominations for these categories must come from a party other than the nominee – individuals cannot nominate themselves. More weight will be given to nominations from peers or disinterested parties.
  • Any individuals working as a CIO or IT manager in the Middle East region can be nominated.

Nominations must include a 500 word description and justification of why the individual should receive the award. It should ideally include the following information:

  • Details of the nominee’s current position and responsibility
  • Brief outline of their main achievements
  • Brief outline of their career history
  • Contact details for the nominee, in order to check facts, positions, details etc if necessary

Judges will be looking for factors including technical expertise, business leadership, achievements and contribution to the industry as a whole.

Vendor Awards

Any vendor can send in a nomination.

Nominations should include a 500 word synopsis of the company’s achievements. Submissions should ideally include the following information:

  • Company’s fields of expertise in enterprise computing
  • Details of investments made into the enterprise computing community
  • Brief overview of recently completed (no more than 24 months old) projects in the Middle East
  • Supporting testimonials from clients (including contact details for verification)
  • Future plans for involvement in the Middle East’s enterprise computing community
  • Contact details for the nominee, in order to check facts, positions, details etc if necessary

Judges will be looking primarily for investment and presence in the region, strong customer testimonials, and contribution to the industry and development of new technologies as a whole.
